WhitePaper: BlockBunny

Empowering Creators and Communities

  • Motivation / What Problem We Are Solving

  • At BlockBunny, creators of all sizes transform their content into profits, monetizing their work and keeping more of their earnings. Creators will own and control their own content, free of big tech’s censorship and algorithms. Creators and their fans will build their own communities, fostering connection. Our ecosystem will be integrated with cryptocurrencies and NFTs and offers the Bunny Token as a vehicle for utility, token rewards, and voting within the community.

  • To deliver on this mission, the BlockBunny platform aims to address key problems prevalent in centralized Web2 social media platforms:

Economic and Social Opportunities Limited with Centralized Finance

  • Centralized financial systems and internet infrastructure restrict access, control, and innovation, limiting opportunities for individuals and communities.

Issues with Web2 / Problem

  • Web2 has numerous issues that Web3 can address, including centralization, lack of privacy, and limited control over personal data. The transition to Web3 has been slow and ineffective due to a lack of mainstream adoption, education, and security.

Slow Transition and the lacking of Mainstream Adoption

  • The current transition period is too slow and inconvenient, primarily because the crypto / blockchain space currently appeals only to technically skilled individuals. The prevalence of scams in the space also hinders adoption, often resulting from a lack of education and robust security measures

Uneven Profit Distribution

  • High quality content and other contributions are not always rewarded with corresponding profits.

  • Content creators often struggle to monetize their work fairly on centralized platforms, as they rely on platform advertising revenue and may receive only a fraction of the revenue generated by their content.

  • Creators may face demonetization, ad revenue fluctuations, and platform algorithm changes that impact their income and livelihood.

Lack of MENA and European Focus

  • There are few SocialFi platforms focusing on the needs, talents, and sensibilities of MENA’s and Europe’s diverse and dynamic populations, including a focus on charitable works and Islamic finance.

Data Privacy Concerns

  • Centralized social media platforms collect vast amounts of user data without providing adequate transparency or control over how it is used or monetized.

  • Users' personal information is vulnerable to data breaches, hacking attempts, and misuse by platform operators or third parties.

Content Censorship and Control

  • Centralized platforms can censor or remove content based on their own policies or external pressures, leading to censorship of unpopular opinions, political dissent, and controversial topics.

  • Users have limited control over their content and may face restrictions on the type of content they can post or share.

  • Users and creators do not have ownership or control over their social media accounts, followers, or content. Platforms can suspend or terminate accounts arbitrarily, leading to loss of data and online presence.

  • Platform algorithms often prioritize engagement metrics over user interests, leading to filter bubbles, echo chambers, and disinformation.

  • Users lack transparency into how content is ranked, recommended, and moderated on centralized platforms, leading to distrust in platform algorithms and decision-making processes.

  • Platform operators may prioritize their own interests or those of advertisers over user or creator interests, eroding trust in the platform's integrity and neutrality.
